Ask Chups

We're going to try out a new thing on the WNT Blog and we're calling it "Ask Chups." Of course, it could be Ask Tarp, Ask Christie or Ask Carli, but today we are giving fans the chance to type questions into the WNT Blog and we'll have Lori Chalupny answer about three of them at some point in the next few days. So, if there was anything you ever wanted to know about life on the WNT, the 2008 Olympics or how it feels to score in an Olympic semifinal, this is your chance. Please keep them fairly short, fairly intelligent and fairly fair. We'll pick some of the best ones and get back to ya right here on the WNT Blog.

It seems that your life is so busy everyday, so how do you stay so calm and always seem like you have alot of energy on and off the field?

Hey Chupa!

Hi Lori,
What a great job you and the team did in the Olympics and against Brazil. You and the girls played as a cohesive unit where Brazil seemed to play more like a group of individual stars. I saw that all of the games were very physical. Was there a team you played that was more chippy or trash talking than the others?

Lori,

How does it feel to be an olympian? What was the feeling like what that final wistle blew, and you won the Gold, against all odds? You guys are amazing.

Here's my question for Chups:

What made you/Why did you choose to play soccer?

First of all, im a huge fan of yours and i was so happy when you scored against Japan! But how does it feel to win a gold medal when you know you've worked so hard to achieve that goal?

Hi Chups,

my question for you is that after all you have been through since the beginning of 2007 after sitting out for 3 months and then all that happen before the Olympics, how has your resilence helped you play the way you did at the Olympics?

thanks,
Corey

Ms Ginger Princess,

You truly are an awesome athlete and an inspiration to girls across the lands.

My question, I don't know if you played in the former WUSA but I'm sure you'll play in the new league forming, how does one reconcile feelings about playing against former teammates when the WNT gets fielded out to various pro teams? Or is everyone just that everyone is a professional and sucks it up, that's the way the ball dribbles?

If you were a superhero, who would you be? What would be your powers? What kind of outfit would you wear? Who is nemisis? What is your weakness?

I was amazed watching the team during the olympics. Being around amazing athletes was probably an extra bonus. Which team USA athlete were you most excited to meet?

Hi Lori! I loved watching your team play in the Olympics. Can you tell us what China was like? The people, food, sights...?
