Well, I certainly didn't expect that to happen...
BUT THE USWNT CAN STILL PULL THROUGH!

Time to move past this and crush Japan!
Let's go USA

I can't believe we lost! Who would have thought 2 goals would come in the first five mins?

It's ok though....we'll bust through the rest of the group stage and make it through!

I'm in shock. At least, they lost what has been predicted to be the most difficult game of the group. They have to come back strong against Japan and New Zealand. Come on, USA!

What happened to the US Soccer badges on the front of the jerseys? I found it odd that there were no badges on the jerseys for the game.

China Central Television broadcasts all games live:

Really a heartbreaking game. But chill out! Remember: More haste, less speed.
Always enjoy soccer and I believe you can make it!

Uncharacteristic, but not disheartening. Poor Japan is going to have to deal with a team ready to come out with a vengeance and prove they're better than what was produced today. I have no doubt that the US will respond well, and walk away with a solid victory on Saturday. Shake it off, ladies. The dream is far from over.

You can watch free online games at the NBC Olympic sight! I am very disappointed in Japan. The are the darkhorse of the tournament, not to mention the most under-rated team. They deserved three points today for they just dominated there match. They are so talented. I've been a fan of the team since 2003. I've gotten to meet Homare Sawa. She is the best play-maker in the women's game and a very nice person. I will not be surprised if the trio of Nagasato, Ohno, and Sawa can beat the US and Norway, They have one of the best defences in the tournament lead by captain Hiromi Isozaki(now Ikeda) and Azusa Iwashimizu. Let's Go Nadeshiko!

There has got to be a way to watch the game when it is not played locally. I have looked at the other online posts and can not find it anywhere. . . this is crazy . . .

Wow...I woke up to my alarm clock at 5 am here on the west coast to see this Norway game, and then it took a few minutes for me to wake up. I thought I would not miss much as the game had just started....but then just ten minutes passed, and I turned on the game and already 2-0...HUH???....wow, what happened so fast?

Well, by the second half, our team was putting a lot of pressure on Norway, and well, the game still ended 2-nil....stinko....

Okay, Ladies, we got the first one out of the way....we did not want to show ALL our tricks in the first game, nor did we want to show up the others, but by next game it is FULL THROTTLE!!!...woohoo!

Still cheering you on out here in the USA....

(smiles)

Hey ladies,
well the warm-up is now officially over!
Time to learn from those mistakes and move on! by the way, I agree with Lisa, Japan is going to have a pretty hard time dealing with you all if you really put it all into this game!
We'll still keep watching, win or lose, and although it's nice to win, get out there and have fun!
